 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Her parents were Jewish parents from the Soviet Union and started her career as a child actress when she relocated to the United States. From 2013 to 2016 she was the AT&T salesperson Lily Adams, and since 2020. She rose to fame for her roles in television commercials. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science fiction show Other Space (2015) and was a regular in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's unaired pilot for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents and she left antisemitism at two years old. They moved to the U.S. with their children. Due to financial hardships in her family, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was just five years old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. But, she was kicked out of her sophomore year and obtained an GED. Then she went on to receive the Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of California San Diego. Through the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied Improv comedy.
